Creating your account

1. 1Click the menu (☰) icon in the top-right corner of any page.
2. 2Select 'Login or Signup'.
3. 3Fill in your name, email address, and a secure password.
4. 4Confirm your email via the verification link we send you.
5. 5You're in — your profile is ready to use.

Navigating RoamLK

• The left sidebar gives you quick access to Home, Favourites, Notifications, and Settings.
• The top Navbar contains the search bar and your account menu.
• Use the 'All Stays' and 'Map View' tabs on the home page to switch perspectives.

Using the search bar

• Type a city or destination into the search bar at the top.
• Select check-in and check-out dates from the date picker.
• Choose the number of guests.
• Press 'Search' to see matching properties.

Filters

Filter chips below the search bar let you narrow by Price range, Amenities, and Property type. Multiple filters can be active simultaneously.

Saving favourites

1. 1Ensure you're logged in.
2. 2Click the heart (♡) icon on any listing card.
3. 3Choose an existing list or create a new one.
4. 4Access all your lists from the Favourites page (heart icon in the sidebar).

How billing works

• Charged in the currency you selected (LKR, USD, EUR, GBP).
• Full price breakdown shown before payment — no surprises.
• Receipts emailed instantly and available in your Bookings page.

Cancellation policy tiers

How to cancel

1. 1Go to your profile menu → Bookings.
2. 2Select the reservation you wish to cancel.
3. 3Click 'Cancel booking' and review the refund amount.
4. 4Confirm — an email confirmation is sent immediately.
5. 5Refunds reach your account within 3–7 business days.

Leaving a review

1. 1After check-out, open the 'Review your stay' email.
2. 2Rate the property across 6 categories.
3. 3Write a short summary (minimum 25 characters).
4. 4Submit — your review goes live after both parties review, or after 14 days.

Review guidelines

• Be honest, specific, and constructive.
• Avoid sharing personal information.
• Photos are welcome and encouraged.
• Reviews violating community guidelines are removed by moderation.

Profile settings

• Update your name, email, phone number, and profile photo.
• Set your preferred language and currency (LKR, USD, EUR, GBP).
• Add an emergency contact.

Notifications

• Booking confirmations & updates — always on.
• Host messages — toggle on/off.
• Promotions & deals — opt-in/out at any time.

Security

• Change your password at any time from Settings → Security.
• We notify you by email of any login from a new device.
• Session tokens expire after 30 days of inactivity.
